As Legal Counsel, you will be part of the legal team at Credendo’s head office in Brussels. In this role, you will advise on international transactions, export credit insurance and financing issues, and handle a wide range of cases at the intersection of law, business and international trade.

You will combine in-depth legal analysis with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach. In doing so, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to well-considered decision-making on cases with commercial, financial and international dimensions.

Your responsabilities:

You will manage claims files relating to export transactions and buyer’s credits, across various areas of law and sectors.
You will liaise with various stakeholders, including exporters, banks, embassies and external advisers.
You will advise on a broad range of legal matters, mainly in the field of company, insolvency and (re)insurance law, always in an international context.
You will monitor relevant regulations and legal developments and translate these into clear, workable and pragmatic advice for the business.
You contribute to the development and refinement of insurance and financing products, with an eye for legal feasibility and commercial applicability.
You will participate in negotiations and be able to balance legal, commercial and relational interests in a balanced manner.
You bring structure, nuance and critical thinking to complex cases and maintain a clear overview even in challenging contexts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
You hold a Master’s degree in Law.
You have at least 5 years’ relevant experience.

As a credit insurer, Credendo attaches great importance to the reliability and availability of its data. Within the Data Management Office, we ensure that the data reaches the right person in the right format and at the right time. We have a Enterprise Data Warehouse in SAP BW on HANA that is at the epicentre of our data-driven culture. Using reporting tools such as Power BI and SAP BO, we bring the data to the decision-makers so that they can make well-founded decisions.

As a BI Analyst, you will join the the Data Management Office of the Strategy &amp; Innovation department, to participate in various projects for the delivery of new functionalities. You will also provide necessary support for existing solutions. You will collaborate actively with the Data Science team concerning new ways of using Credendo’s data on the Azure platform. You will be involved in all phases of the development cycle for the data and analytics platform, i.e. analysis and design, development, testing, go-live, user training and support after production. You will be an ambassador of Credendo’s self-service BI rollout, where you will enable the business to build their own reports in a governed environment.

Your responsibilities:
You will take care of the extraction of data from different sources, set up data flows, create transformations and end-user reporting.
You will manage user groups, authorisations, connections, etc.
You will document and design the required functionalities, in close cooperation with the key users.
You will provide specialised knowledge about SAP BW and MS PBI and recommend solutions that meet Credendo’s (agile development) needs.
You will create test scenarios and perform system and integration tests to ensure quality, functionality and performance.
You will help rolling out self-service BI within Credendo.
You will create/update documentation for end-users and for training courses.

You have knowledge of development in SAP BW and MS PBI and you have the proven ability to provide technical and functional support for both. Knowledge of other BI reporting tools is considered a strong plus.
You can easily convert business requirements into technical BW solutions (or you are willing to specialise in this).
You have a good command of the MS PBI platform on a technical level (or you are willing to specialise in this). Experience in the rolling out of governed self-service BI on a company level is considered a strong plus.
Strong interest in the wider Microsoft BI &amp; Analytics stack is considered a plus.

Experience in the banking or insurance sector, as well as CIA or CISA certification (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. As a Belgian company, good command of French and/or Dutch is required.
