Head of Business development

Your position

As Head of the Business Development department you will report to the Deputy CEO of Credendo Group, you will manage the department and you will have an ongoing relationship with the sales managers of the group.

 

  • You will plan and structurally organise the activities of the department.
  • You will design and develop in close cooperation with the Deputy CEO the business development strategy in line with the strategic objectives of the group
  • You are responsible, under leading of the Deputy CEO of Credendo, for implementing and ensuring the success of a strategic business development to enhance the company’s position in the market.
  • You take responsibility for developing and expanding new business and new client relationships and you will contribute to the optimisation of the existing client portfolio.
  • You will bring about long-term partnership with strategically important business federations, chambers of Commerce and trade agencies.
  • You will develop and further contribute to the group sales strategy and you will liaise with the sales manager of the various entities of the group.
  • You will contribute to the analysis of the needs and opportunities in order to identify which products need to be developed and/or adapted. You will work closely with the respective business departments.
  • You will contribute actively to the implementation of an excellent customer journey and customer experience.
  • You will ensure people management within the business development team by coaching and supervising the staff members, and you will ensure the transfer of expertise to guarantee long-term continuity and a motivating working environment.

 

 

Your profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in economics, commercial engineering or law and have significant working experience of minimum ten years in the financial sector.
  • You have knowledge and expertise of financial products, project finance and credit insurance.
  • You are an enthusiastic people manager and lead your team to achieve strong results.
  • You are a strong communicator and you have the ability to build effective working and client relationships.
  • You are an experienced negotiator, result-driven and you aim to achieve bespoke solutions creating added value for our customers.
  • You show a good oral and written proficiency in Dutch, French and English.
