As an insurance company the accuracy of our regulatory reporting is of instrumental importance.
We are seeking a talented and experienced analyst with expertise in regulatory reporting, particularly in the areas of IFRS9 and IFRS17, to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the data used in the IFR9/17 process is compliant with the relevant processes, business rules and accounting standards. In this role you will act as the crucial bridge between business and the technical teams managing the IFRS9/17 reporting solution, thereby effectively aligning between parties and translating requirements. In collaboration with the Chief Data Officer and Data Quality Manager you will maintain and further improve an efficient data governance framework over the data provisioning for IFRS9/17.
- You act as a bridge between business teams (risk management and accounting) and technical teams in regards to the data provisioning for IFRS9 and IFRS17 by combining the business process knowledge with the IFRS expertise and understanding of the technical solution for IFRS data processing and calculations.
- You translate regulatory requirements, business requirements and technical requirements into clear designs for the technical teams maintaining the data provisioning solution and with a clear focus on enhancing the reporting processes related to IFRS.
- You act as a quality gate overseeing data quality over the data provided for the different IFRS calculation. Thereby you help validating the accuracy and completeness of regulatory reports related to IFRS, you help identifying and rectifying discrepancies when necessary.
- You collaborate with colleagues such that you stay up-to-date with the latest updates, guidelines, and interpretations of IFRS standards. You help ensure the organization's adherence to these standards in financial reporting by monitoring regulatory developments related to IFRS and assess their potential impact on the organization. You propose and implement necessary changes to stay compliant.
- You help maintain comprehensive documentation of IFRS reporting processes, methodologies, and calculations, ensuring transparency and auditability.
Your profile
- You hold a master's degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
- You have at least 7 years of relevant experience as a financial analyst or business analyst with a specialisation in financial or regulatory reporting.
- You have strong knowledge of the IFRS accounting standards. Knowledge of IFRS9 and IFRS17 is considered a strong plus.
- You are a conceptual thinker that is quickly able to see the larger picture, approach topics with a helicopter view and quickly see how problems and solutions fit into an larger existing framework.
- You have a solution-oriented approach, and you have strong persuasion and presentation skills for different levels (business roles, management, experts, colleagues, etc.).
- You have a proven ability to provide functional support for reporting processes. Knowledge of BI reporting tools (SAP BO, Power BI etc.) is considered a strong plus.
- Knowledge of SAP BW is considered a plus.
- You can easily convert business requirements into technical solutions (or are willing to specialise in this).
- As a point of contact, you have good listening, interpersonal and communication skills.
- You can place information in a broader perspective, quickly grasp complex situations and get to the heart of a problem.
- You work in an organised and meticulous way and you know how to deal with deadlines.
- You like to work autonomously, and you enjoy working in a team, as well as to share knowledge and expertise.
- You show very good oral and written proficiency in English.
