Insurance Policy Officer

General information

Your position

As an Insurance Policy Officer, you will be the trusted point of contact for a group of clients who rely on Credendo to protect their international trade. You will support them throughout the entire duration of their contract and ensure that they always understand what needs to be done and how Credendo supports them.

In this role, you will:

  • be the designated point of contact for your clients and build strong, professional relationships with them.  You will ensure that their contract runs smoothly from start to finish. They can always come to you for advice and support;
  • support customers in using our online platform, so that they can manage their contracts more easily;
  • turn information into clear actions: you will translate agreements with clients into specific settings and documents that ensure the contract works in practice. You will amend documents and prepare contract renewals where necessary;
  • manage contracts: you will process regular updates from clients regarding their business transactions to ensure these are properly insured. You will check that payments linked to the contract are received on time and contact the client if necessary. You will handle potential claims and, when necessary, draw up proposals for management decisions;
  • work with various teams – Sales, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Legal – and act as the central link to ensure everyone is on the same page;
  • take ownership of your portfolio: you will organise your work, plan follow-up tasks and ensure that deadlines are met. You will be the ‘mini project manager’ of your own client portfolio;
  • contribute to digitalisation and process improvement, by encouraging clients to use our online tools and by sharing ideas to optimise our internal processes.

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and a genuine interest in international trade.
  • Ideally, you have relevant work experience and are eager to learn.
  • You enjoy helping clients, giving clear explanations and keeping things well organised.
  • You are independent and work accurately, even when juggling multiple tasks at once.
  • You are good with numbers, have strong communicative and analytical skills, and enjoy solving problems in a structured way.
  • You are comfortable using digital tools; knowledge of Excel and Copilot is an asset, experience with SAP is a plus.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English; knowledge of a third language is a major advantage.

We offer

  • A dynamic and varied role in an international business environment.
  • A stable and reputable organisation with a strong European presence.
  • Opportunities for training, growth and continuous development.
  • An attractive salary package, supplemented by a range of competitive benefits, such as meal vouchers, insurance and additional days of leave.
  • Offices in a lively Brussels neighbourhood, easily accessible by public transport.
  • A supportive team culture, hybrid working options and a strong focus on work-life balance.
