Reinsurance Analyst

Your position

As a Reinsurance Analyst, you will integrate the Reinsurance analytics team within the Reinsurance Department. You will follow, review and analyse the portfolio of accepted reinsurance (inward reinsurance) and ceded reinsurance (outward reinsurance) for the Credendo group, in close collaboration with underwriters and under the supervision of the Reinsurance department managers:

 

  • You will analyse reinsurance and financial data, including insightful statistics and KPIs to illustrate portfolio trends.
  • You will report on the portfolio performance, technical accounts and risk exposure aggregation.
  • You will contribute to claims projections, periodic controls and keep the monthly/quarterly reporting up to date.
  • You will generate comprehensive presentations to communicate reinsurance findings and techniques across the organisation.
  • You will support the automation of reinsurance data processes and conduct regular data reviews to ensure integrity and compliance (MasterData).
  • You will perform reinsurance market research and monitor industry trends.
  • You will collaborate with other departments and companies within Credendo (Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial and Claims) to gather data for the reinsurance renewal processes.
  • You will serve as a liaison between the Front Office Reinsurance team and the Back Office Reinsurance team.
  • You will participate in internal and external audit discussions and contribute to internal ICT projects.
  • You will handle special tasks as assigned.

Your profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in economy, finance, actuarial science or a related field, or you hold a bachelor’s degree with extended relevant professional experience in business analytics.
  • You have minimum 3 to 5 years of operational experience in reinsurance activities; experience in credit insurance is a plus.
  • You have experience in reporting processes.
  • You have an excellent knowledge of English and show good oral and written proficiency in French and/or Dutch.
  • You have good ICT skills (Outlook, Excel (PivotTable), Word, Power BI) and a flair for ICT systems integration and development.
  • You have advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software to organise and manipulate large data sets for reporting and modelling purposes.
  • You have a keen eye for detail, a flair for numbers and excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • You are well-organised and you are able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • You have a can-do approach and you show eagerness to learn.
  • You are a problem-solver.
