Senior Developer

Your position

As member of the Customer Centre of Expertise (CCOE) team, you will play a key role in both the functional and technical management of our APIs and the functional development of our CRIS application (Java-based).

  • You will act as the linking pin between business stakeholders and technical teams for all API and the CRIS application.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the functional and technical aspects of our APIs.
  • For our APIs you will coordinate and assist meetings between our internal technical teams and customer technical teams.
  • In your role you will support ticket prioritization and backlog management for your scope.
  • You will be helping to ensure API reliability, consistency, and proper integration.
  • You will be supporting the implementing of Java-based development.
  • You will test new developments and validating delivered features.
  • You will create/update end-user documentation and training documentation.
  • Part of your responsibilities is also providing support and guidance to end-users.

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics, and you have at least 10 years of business experiences.
  • Experience in an insurance of financial environment is an asset.
  • You have proven experience with Java-based applications and integration troubleshooting.
  • You are familiar with Agile / Scrum environments.
  • You have experience supporting enterprise or business-critical applications.
  • You have excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You work in an organised, rigorous way and demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You have the ability to create application documentation and procedures in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • You show excellent oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Experience in working with a sourcing partner is an asset.
