BI Architect

Jouw functie

• You will be part of the business intelligence team that plays a vital role in the future strategy of the company and will report to the Chief Data Officer.

• You will optimise the BI architecture to assure that it is in line with the business strategy of the company. Thereby you will monitor trends and will provide up-to-date advice.

• You will assist with capturing complex business requirements and translate them into BI and analytics service solutions.

• You will be responsible for defining how BI and analytics applications can be integrated within the current data, BI and data analytics architecture.

• You will provide advice to different stakeholders on topics concerning the BI and data analytics applications and infrastructure. Thereby you will advise on, adjust and safeguard the architectural options that have been chosen and make sure that new implementations are in line with existing architectural frameworks.

• You will evaluate different solutions, perform extensive, comparative analyses and make the best decisions to implement new BI and analytics applications.

• You will design advanced data models, data repositories and logical and physical data organisations.

• You will document all BI and analytics applications and infrastructure in order to preserve a well-documented landscape.

• You will work together in a team of BI analysts and work together with the CDO, project managers, IT operations, IT architects, IT development teams, the CISO and business teams.

Jouw profiel

• You hold a master's degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.

• You must have at least 5 years of relevant experience providing BI services and solutions.

• You should have at least 2 years of experience as a BI architect.
• You must be a conceptual thinker that is quickly able to see the larger picture, approach topics with a helicopter view and quickly see how problems and solutions fit into an larger existing framework.

• You must have a solution-oriented approach, and you should have strong persuasion and presentation skills for different levels (business roles, management, experts, colleagues, etc.).

• You must gain good knowledge of important enterprise processes and concepts.

• You must able to develop enterprise and platform architectures related to data lakes, data warehouses, BI and data science.

• You must have a strong interest in new technical developments in the area of BI, data infrastructure and data analytics.

• You should have experience with important modelling techniques (Archimate, UML, BPMN, etc.) and design patterns.

• You should know how to approach SAP BW, SAP BO, Power BI, MYSQL from an architectural perspective.

• You should know how to approach big data, R, Python, and data science from an architectural perspective.

• You should have good analytical skills and are able to think on an abstract level.

• You like to work independently, and you enjoy working in a team.

• You have strong interpersonal skills.

• You show good oral and written proficiency in English.
